Xterminate Pest Control

About Xterminate

Xterminate provides friendly, professional pest control throughout Perth's northern suburbs. Whether it is rats in the roof, ants and cockroaches in the kitchen, spiders outdoors or termites, the team's approach is to "kill the eggs, not just the bugs" and break the breeding cycle, with treatments that are safe for kids and pets.

The brief

Xterminate wanted a fresher, more effective website. Working through an agency partner, I was asked to create a redesign mockup showing where the site could go, and to fix the most visible design and layout issues on the live WordPress site straight away.

What I did

• Redesign mockup. A new homepage concept built around a clear "Pest Control Perth" headline, a quote form above the fold and a bright, approachable green palette.
• Trust section. Placed "What Perth Locals Say About Us" Google reviews high on the page to build confidence quickly.
• Problem-led content. Organised the services around what visitors are dealing with: rats in the roof, crawling pests, outdoor spaces and termites.
• Live site fixes. A round of design and layout fixes across the WordPress site to tidy spacing, alignment and consistency while the redesign is being considered.

Why it works

Pest problems feel urgent, and visitors want to know quickly that a local team can sort them out. Leading with the problem, local reviews and a quote form turns worry into action. The live fixes improve the experience right away, while the mockup gives the client a clear picture of the next step.
